It's my birthday! Today, I slept in a little? Then, my parents took me to eat brunch at
in La Jolla, CA. It was really good! And VERY EXPENSIVE TOOOOO! Ahhh! Um, like $50 a person! Ouch! Hahah, but I guess it was worth it. The people who work at the restaurant even brought me this chocolate mousse cake that was really really good (even though I'm not much of a chocolate cake fan)! It even had a candle on it! I made a wish, but I can't tell you! The wish, however, isn't for myself but for other people! I really do hope it comes true! Yeah, but I thought that was sweet of them because my parents didn't tell them to do that, my mom just told this one host that it was my birthday when she was taking pictures for us. Haha! Oh yeah! I paid for the brunch! Well, not exactly~ I used my credit card that is under my mom's account! First time using it! It was so cool! Hahah! :D
Downtown La Jolla really hasn't changed... my family use to have a restaurant down on Prospect St. when I was 5 or 6 years old. I use to go around passing out flyers with my dad. When I was little, I was friends with all the stores! Now, I don't even know any of them. There's still some that are still there. Hmm... I wonder how much it costs to stay at the hotel I went to for brunch?? It must be expensive, if brunch was 50 bucks a person! x_____x
Afterwards, my parents and I went to the Encinitas Street Fair. Business wasn't very good, but there was some nice stuff. I was scoping out products because my mom has a jewelry business too and we go to some fairs as well, like the DM Fair! We didn't buy much because it was closing soon... my mom bought some earrings and necklaces for herself. Kinda weird though... when she sells similar products. Haha, but whatever. It's for her personal use, I guess? I ended up buying this purse that is shaped like a camera! It's really um, DIFFERENT! But that's what I like about it! I can't wait to use it. I think I'll put my laptop in it when I uh, get one... Haha!
Anyways, today was better than I expected! I definitely had a blast with my parents! Haha but I can't wait to go GO-KARTING WITH FRIENDS after AP tests are over!! Heck yes! Thanks for everyone's birthday wishes! I really appreciate it! <3

So... what am I doing on the half hour of being 17?!!!
Well, I am trying to do that AP English Lit assignment Allen gave us to like highlight and stuff... and talking on MSN and I guess watching asian dramas! Haha!
Pretty typical for what I've doing this whole year. I'm hoping that when I turn 18, something great will happen to me! Maybe that will be college.
Hmmm, well let's review this past week.
Star testing... it was amazing! Waking up late and going to school at noon! Gosh, that was heavenly! Going to running/walking on the beach with Kimmie! Working out with Karen, but more like talking about her college visits and what happened to her on 4/20 at Berkeley! Hahah! Um, friday? Parking for Karen? Lol. Karen obviously can't park very well, so she asked me to park her car for her. That was really sad, Karen. tsk tsk tsk... xD Thanks for the gifts, Kimmie! Haha I love the shirt! RANCH! and the pens I've been wanting!!! Yay! <3
I skipped orchestra practice this morning. I just didn't feel like waking up and going today. I kinda got sick of it. I've been waking up early on Saturdays since freshman year for orchestra practice! I've had enough! But I feel bad because I'm 4th chair and I guess that's kinda bad if I don't show up. I hope I don't get kicked out, but if I did, it's all good! :D
HMMM... I ate at Souplantation twice! Yummy! That totally made my week too! Um, today I didn't realize my cell phone rang, but one of my brothers left me a message saying Happy Early Birthday because he knew that he would be busy all day tomorrow because of his job, so he wanted to tell me early! That made me so happy! Because he didn't forget!!! T___T I kinda started bursting out with tears... happy tears, of course! :D If I had a birthday cake right now, I'd blow out the candles hoping the best for my family. I guess there is something I am wishing for, but I don't know, it's not that important. Even though wishing for things is kinda against my religion (Buddhism), I'm still hoping that they will come true!

...almost legal?
Time's just an illusion, isn't it? I still look the same, don't I? Maybe I got new glasses, my hair's gotten longer, lost a few pounds... nothing drastic.
I am going to be 18 this weekend. I am going to be legal! I can vote! Yet, somehow none of this is appealing to me. =/ I use to be a big fan of celebrating my birthday. I remember when I was, I think 5 or 6, my parents owned a restaurant in La Jolla... on Prospect Street and I invited all my kindergarten friends to come. Back then, everyone in your class had to be invited. I'm not sure if that's a rule or something, but that's just how it worked for most occasions then. I was so happy that day, surrounded by all my kindergarten friends... no one judging you, just celebrating the day you were born. It was great.
Other birthdays, I remember having a sleepover at my house, watching a movie at the highlands, family fun center, ice skating, my best friends decorating my desk in 8th grade in Mclaughlin's US History class. Gosh, the birthday memories.
After that ice skating party I had, my parents told me that I wouldn't be able to have another party until I was sixteen. Well, turning sixteen came and passed. No party. Then, I thought! Hey! I'm going to have a party when I turn 17. Yeah, never happened... And then, now! I want to do something SPECIAL, but I can't even decide on something. And plus... the timing's kinda bad because I'm sure a lot of people's parents wouldn't let them come even if I did have one because of studying for AP exams. It's a bummer.
Aw well, I guess. Maybe I'll just wait until college to celebrate? I'll just stay home and watch asian dramas or something?

Yesterday afterschool, it started raining. Though, it did not start POURING until I was half way down the grassy somewhat steep hill... So I ended up running to my car and coming home soaking wet with my mom's response of... "It's raining!"
Haha even though I got soaked, I still really really REALLY do love rain! It was about time it rained too because San Diego never gets too much rain and the water bill is up to the max for my yard... the grass is starting to turn yellow. T___T Poor grass!
Um, so my oldest brother came home to install my new computer! MORE memory, MORE hard drive, LARGER monitor! YAYYYYY!! I'm not exactly sure why he installed it now, but I'm guessing due to the relevant time in April, it would be an early birthday gift! Yay! Thankssss!
I just got back from SDYS rehearsal. I'm kinda over orchestra these days... I don't think I feel the same kinda excitement I had back in freshman year of HS. I guess that's the major reason a lot of seniors have been quitting SDYS. I want to, but then... the people I'm friends with in my group aren't at the same HS as me, so... basically the only reason I'm still going is so I can still talk to them!! :D ...and Eli. ;D AHAHAHHA
Man! I want my music on my computer! My brother didn't finish putting all my files onto the new computer because he didn't bring this one wire/cable thing to connect the two computers, so I'll have to wait a couple or several days (sometimes he's not that reliable...) For now, I'll have to go to like Myspace Music sites to listen to music or something like that. That's a pain! Aw well... I still really appreciate having a new computer! AND THIS MONITOR IS SO NICEEEE! IT'S PERFECT FOR GRAPHICS, considering I plan on going into Graphic Design! Boo ya! xD

So, I finally made my decision on... shoes. JK! I meant, college. xD
And I started thinking about how I'm going to miss my parents because I've never been away from home for more than like a week and when I'm away, I'm usually with both or one of my parents! I think my parents are the
cutest couple in the world, when they're not "disappointed" in me and make me feel all crumby, that is. But yes, they are so adorable! I love their little arguments about the funniest things ever and that they are able to give me
unconditional love (which is very important for childhood development... so I've learned in Psychology). I'm going to miss them very very very much x infinity! ♥ ♥ ♥
Obviously, Kimmie's emotional, touchy-feelings are contagious. >__>
Anyway,
